Phyllis Dupuy

Phyllis Dupuy grew up in Montreal and studied at McGill University and became a skilful potter while teaching art at Thunder Bay, Ontario. She has exhibited widely including shows in Cambridge, Edinburgh, Munich, Canada, the United States, Japan and the Middle East. Her work can be found in various contemporary collections, including those of the Royal Scottish Museum and the Museum of Leicestershire.

Using fine white clay from Limoges in France Dupuy creates delicate pots which are glazed in beautiful subtle colours. The matt glaze is then decorated with the refined application of gold or silver leaf in diamond or spiral patterns.

They are sophisticated forms and true "objects of desire".
